Our support group is affiliated with the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) and first started in 1997 to serve all suburbs across Perth. As more groups formed and joined the PCFA affiliated Network, the group has found itself serving a smaller area but still welcomes anyone impacted by prostate cancer including partners, family and friends.
New visitors to the group are invited to tell their stories, ask questions, seek any information they might need or they may choose to simply listen to others. Our members have had a variety of experiences they can share with you and can give you a patients perspective of what to expect regarding treatments and possible side effects. The group runs in a semi-formal way to allow everyone to have some input but is also flexible should someone need additional time and more explanation.
Meeting times are 7:00pm - 9.00pm third Tuesday of every month excluding January.
We meet at the Pilbara Room, Milroy Lodge, Cancer Council WA. 15 Bedbrook Place (off Lemnos Street), Shenton Park.
The external entrance to the Pilbara Room is just near the gazebo in the lawn area between the carpark and the building. There is free parking at Milroy Lodge in the marked Visitor Bays.
