PCFA has made a major contribution to prostate cancer research over the past 20 years and is committed to continuing research funding. To strengthen its ongoing research program, PCFA is considering changing its research strategy to one that is more proactive in identifying issues that need research. PCFA is consulting its stakeholders - our community, our supporters, researchers and health professionals – about the directions of its new strategy. We will not hold a new research funding round in 2018 while the strategy is being developed.

Funding already committed to research in 2018, which exceeds $5million, will continue. These commitments include funding for clinical trials and survivorship interventions, first in field ideas, training programs for young prostate cancer researchers and support for clinician scientists.

Important developments during 2018 will be communicated to our community and researchers by email. If you would like to be on our mailing list, please email Jacqueline Schmitt at: jacqueline.schmitt@pcfa.org.au
